One of the few things I learnt from Geology at school was that the Yorkshire coast was eroding rapidly. On visit to the high passes above Langtang in Nepal I saw glaciers melting, hillsides collapsing and much less snow than there once was. My perception of the way the planet is changing has been altered in a big way.
